Powered entirely by a foot pedal, the Drumi requires no electricity and only two gallons of water per load. After pouring in a bit of detergent (liquid, powder, or solid soap), simply stomp on the foot pedal for one to three minutes for the wash cycle, and another one or two minutes for the rinse.
The design of this thing is also pretty tasteful. A transparent lid lets you see the spinning in action, and a sleek chassis with green accents won't look too weird in your home. Specs aren't available yet, so we don't yet know the exact capacity of the wash... drum? Ball? Wash ball? But YiREGO claims there's enough room for "three days-worth of personal garments." Not too shabby.
The Drumi is available for pre-order at YiREGO's website for $129 Canadian (about $106 US), but—according to The Huffington Post—that number may climb to $169 Canadian ($139 US) very soon. Drumi will officially launch this summer.
