Feel wristband can 'feel' emotions and make up your mood

The Feel Wristband looks like a pretty ordinary, rounded bracelet, but there’s a lot going on inside it. There are four sensors that track galvanic skin response, blood volume pulse, and skin temperature. A proprietary algorithm categorizes the signals into emotions.
The data is transferred via Bluetooth to the connected app, which then visually charts your emotions throughout the day. What’s pretty neat is that it shows how your mood is affected by factors, such as who you meet with, the environmental conditions of where you are, and what you’re doing.

Announced late last year and making an appearance at CES 2016, the Feel Wristband by New York-based startup Sentio Solutions is a wrist-worn tracker that claims to be able to monitor emotions and stress levels throughout the day and even help you get in a better mood.

The Feel, which at first glance doesn't look all that different from any other fitness trackers, uses a series of sensors to record blood volume pulse, skin temperature and galvanic skin response biometric data. That data can then be sent in real time over Bluetooth to the Feel companion app where you can view your emotional state and get a better idea of the factors that could be having an impact on it. That could be down to people you meet or the environment you've been in.

You know, like spending a long day in the office for instance or going for a tough gym session. If the sensors pick up that you’re feeling incredibly stressed, it will vibrate and the app will offer breathing and meditation exercises to help you relax. Otherwise, the app will offer brief advice to make you feel better, such as “laugh more,” or “meditate.” You can also make an emotional wellness plan to learn and keep healthy habits and stick to long-term emotional goals.

The app will track and notify you real-time on how you’re doing. The company first announced the device late last year, but unveiled a prototype at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The Feel band will come in red, turquoise, black, and white. As well as recording data, the app will also provide recommendations and advice on how to reduce stress and keep your emotions in check, like telling you to "laugh more" or go "do some exercise.

" There's also support for vibrating alerts to acknowledge when you've got yourself into a particularly stressful situation and the app can offer breathing and meditation exercises to get you feeling good again. You can also set up a personalised wellness program to introduce habits that'll make you feel happier and keep track of achieving those goals. Available in four different soothing colours including the fire Red model pictured above, there's no news just yet when the Feel will be available yet. But we sincerely hope it's not too long, otherwise we're really going to lose it.
